But how can you choose what to do?<\/p><p>We've searched high and low across the city taking into account travel times, entry prices and popularity with come up with this list of our Top 5 things to do in London.<\/p><h2><strong>The View from The Shard<\/strong><\/h2><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/if5bxecigqya0mehy9zjgupn35cvrvrf5dwweifkapnlnowu.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"82571532\" \/><\/p><p>One of the things you should do in London is get a ticket to go up to the observation deck at The Shard.<\/p><p>It's the tallest building in London, and the observation deck is over 900 feet above the ground, which gives you a spectacular view.<\/p><p>There are windows all around, and when you look out them you get vertigo \u2014 not dangerous vertigo, but that feeling where your stomach drops and it feels like you're falling.<\/p><p>The design of the building\u2014a triangle set on its point\u2014was inspired by the spires of London churches.<\/p><h2><strong>Natural History Museum<\/strong><\/h2><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/156ptfl4wdezmyearohiuktha69sltailzjnbqtn5jff7uxd.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"82571535\" \/><\/p><p>The Natural History Museum is a large, old-fashioned museum which houses what is probably the world's most extensive collection of fossils, dinosaurs, and artifacts of natural history.<\/p><p>The museum was founded in 1881 and it has grown to house over 80 million items.<\/p><p>It's one of the most famous museums in London, located in the heart of South Kensington.<\/p><p>The museum is open every day from 10am to 5.50pm (last entry 5pm).<\/p><p>Admission costs \u00a315 for adults and \u00a310 for children (free for children under 3).<\/p><h2><strong>Tower of London<\/strong><\/h2><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/txbogn8ene3munyqbtkeopaaw1mbzzkhifqcr3kgk4gws53c.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&amp;h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"82571547\" \/><\/p><p>The Tower of London was once the main royal residence in England, and is now a famous museum and one of the most popular tourist attractions in London.<\/p><p>The structure which stands today was begun by William the Conqueror in 1078 and has been frequently expanded and modified over the centuries.<\/p><p>The White Tower, which gives the castle its name, was built around 1078 by William I as a statement of Norman power after his invasion of England.<\/p><p>It is the core of the Tower of London that we see today. Later, in 1285, a new building, known as St Thomas' Tower was added to the castle by Henry III to commemorate his son's death in 1274.<\/p><p>In 1414 a major fire destroyed much of the castle but it was rebuilt by Henry V in 1416.
